Expert motorcycle transport in Melbourne

Expert motorcycle transport you can trust

Upmove provides specialist motorcycle transport in Melbourne, moving everything from scooters and dirt bikes to cruisers, sport bikes, tourers, sidecars and trikes. Our teams complete thousands of moves across Australia each month using purpose‑built equipment, documented loading procedures and nationwide routing to keep your bike safe and on schedule.

Equipment and carriers tailored to motorcycles:

• Dedicated multi‑bike carriers and enclosed vans fitted with e‑track/logistics rails, integrated wheel chocks and multiple secure anchor points.
• Hydraulic tail‑lifts and low‑angle ramps for low‑clearance bikes; electric winches for controlled loading of non‑runners.
• Air‑ride or load‑stabilised suspension options to minimise vibration on long interstate routes.
• Protective soft furnishings, bar sleeves and fork supports to prevent contact and suspension stress.

Professional loading and restraint methods:

• Four‑point, triangulated tie‑downs at engineered points using soft loops and ratchet straps; no load placed on controls or mirrors.
• Front wheel chocked and compressed within safe sag limits; fork saver used where appropriate to reduce seal stress.
• Rear wheel stabilised or swingarm restrained to prevent lateral movement; straps tension‑checked at departure and scheduled stops.
• Documented condition report with photos at collection and delivery.

Service options in Melbourne:

• Door‑to‑door transport from home, office or storage, coordinated to building access and loading windows in urban areas.
• Depot‑to‑depot for lower cost and flexible drop‑off/collection times.
• Local, intrastate and interstate transport covering metro, regional and remote routes across Australia.
• Non‑runners, customs and modified bikes handled with winch loading, additional wheel bracing and bespoke strap plans.
• Sidecars and trikes carried on wider‑deck rigs with dedicated tie‑points and clearance checks.

Protection options for Australian conditions:

• Open carriers for the most economical moves on city and short interstate routes.
• Enclosed carriers for prestige, classic or high‑value motorcycles, giving maximum protection from weather, dust and road debris on long‑haul and outback sections.

Planning, tracking and compliance:

• Route planning that accounts for distance, rest regulations and seasonal weather to balance speed and safety.
• GPS‑tracked movements with operations oversight and proactive schedule updates.
• Load restraint and heavy‑vehicle safety practices aligned with national standards, driver fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility obligations.

Pre‑transport checklist to streamline your move:

• Fuel at or below a quarter tank; alarm/immobiliser disarmed; steering unlocked; keys provided.
• Loose accessories (phone mounts, bags, detachable screens) removed or secured; panniers and top boxes locked.
• Tyre pressures set; note any existing marks for the condition report.

Typical delivery timeframes:

• Local moves within Melbourne: 1–3 working days.
• Intrastate/nearby corridors: 2–5 working days.
• Interstate long‑haul: 7–12 working days.
• Remote and outback locations may require additional time based on access and scheduling.

With specialist carriers, motorcycle‑specific restraint systems and a national footprint, Upmove makes motorcycle transport in Melbourne straightforward, technical and reliable — from booking and pickup to safe delivery at your destination.
