Hi Michael,Looking at our records, as this job was completed quite a while ago, the price does seem to have been increased back above the initial quote after it had been reduced for you, it seems as though you were also offered a cancellation, so the price increasing to do the work is correct.
For what I can see on my end, you changed the delivery address, changed the requested dates by 8 months, and the dimensions of the boat you wanted transported.

We appreciate your feedback, but please note, as we had already discussed when you had booked in (and as per our quote, and our terms and conditions), whilst the road was perfectly fine to turn around in, we could not send a truck into your street for safety of the other vehicles on our truck being damaged / scratched by low hanging trees.
Whilst we endeavor to get the vehicle as close to your address as possible, we always put safety first.

I must admit that overall experience was great. Logan was a great helper. Communication was easy and quick.
Only thing that I didn’t like was an extra charge. When I initiate the request on upmove, i chose the vehicle as “I don’t know” in a field - “Is vehicle drivable?”. Then IAT tried to tow my car from the pick up address and got unsuccessful because they expected a car to be drivable. But I mentioned the vehicle is not drivable. Then I was told that there will be extra 90$ for non-drivable vehicle. I paid and they resolved the issue quickly. Again thanks for the fast service. This is just a heads up for those who are towing a car that is non-drivable. Make sure to tell them again about car condition if you dont want to pay extra.

Lost my brand new replacement roof (valued at $3k) which was securely strapped to the car and approved by the driver and have simply denied responsibility.

Hi Alex, when you made this booking you made no mention to us that there would be a "strapped on roof". If we had known this we would not have transported your car as in our terms and conditions we do not take responsibility for unattached, non-genuine car parts. During transport the force of the wind has blown off your roof. This is not damage or loss caused by our company/driver so we cannot take responsibility.
All transport companies will not cover personal items or unattached items on a car, as transit insurance will not cover these items.
We are very sorry you lost your replacement roof but this was not caused by any fault of IAT Transport.
